Developed in 2009 by Ron Stallings and Sam Daniel, The 212 was designed to be a more traditional alternative to the open/loft styled condos prevalent in the market. A more complete trim package, better defined and separated common/public spaces, entry foyers and traditional selections all helped position The 212 as more of a ‘home’ and less of a ‘condo.’
Located along the (re)emerging 2nd Street Entertainment Corridor and close to the Convention Center, City Hall and MCV, the project attracted those who sought privacy and proximity. With the new renovation of the Hippodrome Theater close by, The 212’s location is one fo the most strategic in the Downtown marketplace.
We had a lot of fun with the project as it was truly a departure from the loft/warehouse product being developed in so many spots. The MCV resident/student became one of the primary buyer profiles for the condos and we were able to capture many sales around ‘match day’ announcements.
